Fula Flute (Blue Monster)
Bailo
Bah plays the fula flute, or tambin, on this album. Mics hooked up
to wah-wah pedals don't even touch on what this instrument can do.
In the opening track "Wali," Bah's voice can be heard along with
the notes being produced by the flute urging you to always remember
those who have helped you achieve success. Each of the songs on the
album tells a tale of some sort and certainly sound the part. While
Fula Flute has a very unique and compelling sound, and each of the
songs tells a different tale, I found some of the album to be a bit
repetitive. The one original song on the album, "Teriya" has a more
modern edge to it and immediately separates itself from the repetitious
sound of the album.
